Greetings Parents and students in Christ,

I’m Anthony Nguyen. I'm your child's 4th grade teacher this year (or your teacher if you are a student in 4th grade). Please take a moment to read through this introduction to get a feel of my classroom expectations and teaching philosophy.

Besides teaching, I also enjoy everything a child enjoys from jumping and playing in the field to playing video games to watching Saturday Morning cartoons and telling silly jokes.  What can I say?  I’m a child at heart.

I'm dedicated to the success of my students. My goal is to ensure the success of each child so that he/she feels good about him/herself, about 4th grade, and about St. John the Baptist Catholic School.

Like all St. John’s teachers, I have high expectation for all my students. I challenge each child to perform to his or her greatest potential because I wholeheartedly believe that a person never knows what he or she is capable of achieving unless he or she is challenged. In the words of David Brinkley, "A successful person is one who can lay a firm foundation with the bricks that others throw at him or her."
