Chaperones and Volunteers

If you would like to be a chaperone on one of our fieldtrips or to volunteer at school, please be sure to complete the following two requirements before the fieldtrip date or before you come in to volunteer:

1. Volunteers must be fingerprinted to work with children at school. Please get the necessary paperwork from the school office.  You must have the proper form when you go get fingerprinted.  You will receive 5 family participation hours for getting fingerprinted. You must give a receipt for fingerprinting to the School Office and to our Volunteer Coordinator to receive credit.
2. Once you have been fingerprinted, please visit the following website:  www.shieldthevulnerable.org to complete the Shield the Vulnerable program.  Be sure to pick the Diocese of Orange when you select a diocese.  Upon completion, please print the certificate and deliver it to the school office.  We will submit your name to the diocese and you’ll be clear to volunteer and/or drive SJB students.
